How to be Happy at Christmas

When you think you are about to explode

Well, its that time of year again and your heading home for a family Christmas.  Here are a few tips to make things go smoother:

  1.  If you have difficult family members and feel that you need just to explode, I recommend that you first have a Christmas Coach!  I am a Christmas Coach for several family members and when they are getting really anxious, they send me texts and I work to calm them down!  This way they kind of get it off their chest with me and save the family party!  It works just great.
  2. The brain cannot entertain and negative thought and a positive thought at the same time, so if you are starting to get negative thoughts at your family party…just replace that negative thought with a positive thought and watch how it works!  But remember, this takes practice and practice makes perfect!
  3. Watch the alcohol consumption as loose lips sink ships.  It is better to take it easy and enjoy the day.
  4. Count your blessings no matter how you feel.  Having a sense of Gratitude about your life and your family party sets a positive tone for the day and a peaceful feeling inside.
  5. Remember, everything changes and life is very short.  Enjoy this Christmas with friends and family because next year could be completely different.  And we sometimes don’t realize what we have until our loved ones are no longer with us!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Jack
