How To Overcome Stress

Here are a few tips to help you over come STRESS!   While this is not an exhaustive list by any means.  Remember, that stress is caused by your thoughts.  Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking. Separate them from the situation, which is always neutral, which always is as it is.  There is the situation or fact, and here are my thoughts about it!  Be aware that what you think, to a large extent, creates the emotions you feel. Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them. The more you think thoughts of the past and of the future, the more the Ego tends to feed stressful thoughts.  Always wanting more or being more creates thoughts of stress.  The core of stress remains in the Ego of self.    Try this next time:

  1.  Just listen to what another person has to say and let it pass right through you.  Don’t form an opinion or get angry.  Those emotions form stress.
  2.  Try listening to your words.  Do they build people up or tear them down.  When you use words that tear people down, those feed your ego and that causes stress.
  3.  Try thinking less of yesterday and tomorrow and work to be present and allowing situations and things to pass through you instead of getting stuck on the inside of you.
  4.  Remember that the only way to relieve stress is to feel loved by God and have the peace that passes all understanding.
  5.  Love more.  Love is a higher energy vibration that cancels out the lower negative frequencies.
  6.  Remove yourself from people who complain.   Recognize that people who complain are highly driven by their compulsive Ego’s.  Complaining about things strengthens their Ego and stress.
  7. Exercise daily and watch consumption of alcohol and overeating.

Always ASK for what you want!

This past weekend we attended a wedding in Kansas City and had to fly.  And for those of us who fly for a living, it is always the goal to upgrade, if possible, to first class!  But in today’s busy world, that has become more and more difficult.  BUT, I have learned, it is always important to ask.   Both my wife and I were traveling back from Kansas City on frequent flyer tickets that normally aren’t upgradeable.  But as I walked past the counter, I noticed on the large screen, that there were many open seats available in first class and there was only one person on the upgrade list!  So, I decided “what the heck”, I am just going to ASK and see if we can upgrade!   So I approached the counter and there was a nice guy at the check in.  I asked him if it would be possible to upgrade my tickets as my wife and I are frequent flyers and I noticed that there were many open seats!  He asked to see my current ticket and within a minute, he said SURE!  Not only did he upgrade my wife and I to first class, he upgraded my mother in-law who was also traveling with us!   And she isn’t a frequent traveler at all.   The moral of the story is ALWAYS ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT in life!  Perhaps you may not get it, but perhaps you will.   In sales, we were always trained to ASK for the order and to never walk away from a sale until we ASKED the customer to say YES!

REMEMBER, It never hurts to ask even when it doesn’t seem possible!

Just DO IT!

"The Key To Your Success"

Well, I am back and trying to post on a regular schedule again.   Today, I would like to focus on a few issues to help you improve your personal and professional productivity.   Recently, I have struggled to get back to building my platform and launching my products.  I guess I seem to have found a thousand reasons to delay and delay, but now I am determined to have my launch in roughly 60 days before the Christmas season.   I am launching an online course titled: Lead2Succeeduniversity Platform Marketing Blueprint.  This course will outline the necessary steps required to design and build your personal and or business platform.  If you would like to sign up for my FREE 7 Pillars of Lead2Succeed Platform Marketing, please go to:

This way you will automatically receive my updates and live events.   Now lets talk about the concept of: “JUST DO IT”.

The TWO most important things to do when trying to improve your life and results, is to first JUST START.   My grandmother used to say that getting started is half the job and I truly believe it.   I am always amazing at when I think about something that must be done, I can sometimes OVER THINK the project and find myself STUCK by inactivity.  But when I don’t think so much about the task and JUST START doing one small part, before you know it, I have it completed!   And Second, CLARITY is critical.   For me, having a clear idea of what I want to accomplish is key.   If I am unclear, I tend just to waste time going back and overthinking it again.  Clarity is also key in building your platform.  Clarity allows you to focus on your message and plan for your branding.   All essential to getting noticed online and offline.
