7 “G” Forces Available to Propel Your Career Forward

The Third “G” force available to propel your career forward is the supernatural force of “Gratitude”.  The definition of gratitude is the quality of feeling thankful and a readiness to show appreciation and kindness.  This state of mind is a very powerful transformational force that exists in a person when they know they have themselves been forgiven by God.  The biggest issue most people face is not realizing their sin before God.  Often, you see this in people who constantly blame others for their situation, instead of realizing their part in the problem.  When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are accepting the fact that you have sin in your life and the only thing that can remove that sin from your life is the blood of Jesus Christ.

When you know you are completely forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Christ, you can then experience the power of gratitude.  And what happens next is truly amazing.  When you move into a state of gratitude, you set yourself up to experience the thoughts, feelings, vibrations and experiences in life that God has intended you to experience.  Gratitude puts you into a state of harmony with the creative side of God.  You experience the splendor of knowing that God has wonderfully and fearfully made YOU and that you have worth and that you are designed for Greatness in every way. It is this supernatural power of gratitude that allows you to connect directly with God.  You feel the peace and joy of knowing how valuable you are in His eyes.

Gratitude will help you propel your career and your life forward so rapidly, that others will wonder how it all happened!  You will become a magnet for others and and inspiration and will move in the direction of your destiny and purpose.  There is nothing so wonderful, than to be in the presence of someone who is filled with gratitude. Your viewpoint tells you what the right attitude is, and obedience to the soul puts you into it.  Somewhere in the state of gratitude, you meet God. With the power of gratitude, you cease from looking at human mistakes and look at successes; cease from seeing faults and see virtues.  With gratitude you know longer look at human beings as lost and ruined and descending into hell; you must come to regard them as shining souls who are ascending into heaven!

In short, gratitude is a supernatural force that propels you into a state higher than that of normal man. It provides the ladder to greatness and the vision to live a life on purpose.

Finally, living with a sense of gratitude is so important because your place in life, including your material environment, is determined by the thought form you habitually hold of yourself.

7 “G” Forces Available to Propel Your Career Forward

The second “G” force available in the supernatural is that of Grace.  This is not just something that you say at the dinner table, but a powerful, downloadable, invisible power that is available for you to have in both your business and personal life.  While sometimes very hard to define, God’s Grace is a powerful force that will transform your work here on earth.

I am sure that we all experience the Grace of God on a daily basis, but there are times in life, when you know that what happened to you was a God encounter and you can’t explain it any other way.  Some folks like to say it was a coincidence, or it happened by luck or chance, but when you know that you have truly experienced Grace you are transformed.  Your life is different and you can’t live the way you used to live any longer.

Grace, for me, came at 42 when I was suffering through a betrayal of a close friend and business partner.  It was on the night of November 7, 2002, that I felt the Holy Spirit enter my body and I experienced what God’s Grace is all about.  I was healed that night from the torment I was experiencing from the betrayal.  It was God’s Grace that night that changed my life forever.  Once you have experienced God’s Grace for yourself, the way you look at life completely changes.  The way you behave in business completely changes.  The way you led your family completely changes.

Finally, when you know that God has forgiven you for all what you have done in your life through his Grace, you suddenly realize that you can forgive others.  While not easy, it is completely possible.  I was able to forgive my friend, who betrayed me, because  I was forgiven myself.  I understand that with any relationship,it takes two people, and both can be at fault.   That doesn’t mean that I agree what he did, but then again, Jesus was betrayed by one of his best friends and he did nothing at all to deserve that.  SO, it should be of any surprise  that it happens.  I believe that in some ways, my friend truly had no choice but to betray me.  Because, God had planned a different direction for my life.  The Bible says, what others do as evil, God, through his Grace, can turn it into good for  his Glory.   And he did just that!

7 “G” Forces Available to Propel your Career Forward

I love to write about topics that often don’t get  coverage mostly because they may seem difficult to comprehend.  If you have ever taken a ride to Cedar Point  just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, you know what “G” forces feel like as you ride the various coasters.  These are powerful forces that exist in the natural world that we experience daily.  Gravity in another natural force that we all are very familiar with.   So, even though you can’t see gravity, we know what happens when we drop something out of a 10 story building!  It falls to the ground immediately with  a force which equals its mass times its acceleration.

Just as there are these natural forces, there are also supernatural forces that exist that effect us.  There are 7 key forces that exist in the supernatural realm that will help us in our professional career if we become aware of them. The first “G” force that exists in every human being is the desire to be “great”.  This the the force within us that desires expansion and keeps us growing and wanting to get better.  Even the Bible talks about greatness when it says that those who desire to be great, must serve!

Greatness is the power in every human being that has created this world as we know it.  We look at people who have achieved great wealth, great businessman, great athletes, great stars and great people with admiration and hope.  We want to hang out with these people and we want to learn from them.   There is something inside each and every one of us that desires some form of greatness.

Any person may become great when they use this powerful force.  By the intelligent use and direction of this force, man can develop his own mental faculties. Great men are in connection with a reserve of power that is without limit.  That power comes from God himself and is downloaded into man through faith.  When man becomes aware of this limitless power, he has the power and the working force within him to become great.  Stay tuned for 6 more G forces available in the supernatural.

How to find the Purpose in Your Life

"connecting the natural with the supernatural"

When you go through life there are peaks and valleys.  Most people want you to see the peaks but most don’t understand how to navigate the valleys.  The key to going through a valley successfully is to understand that the valley has something to offer you that you can’t get anywhere else.  The valley offers you a chance to move beyond yourself and to move towards what God has planned for your life.

On the road to discovering your purpose in life, God sets up divine intersections.  These divine intersections include people, places and experiences (both good and bad) that help shape who you are and what you are supposed to do.  When you are working and living OnPurpose,  you start to see the intersections both in the natural and the supernatural.  You see God’s concepts in your everyday life playing out.  God helps you see that even though bad things can happen, He has intended all to work together for your good, even though it might not seem that way at the time.

The beauty in being able to see the good in the valley is a true advantage indeed.  This is a key “secret” to navigating through the valley.  Most people complain and spend enormous amounts of energy focused in the wrong direction while in the valley.  But when you live OnPurpose, you know that the way through the valley is to keep a positive perspective on what is happening.

When you master the skill to connect everyday life with the supernatural, you begin to see the invisible connections or vision, that God has provided for you.  God provides provisions for you during your time in the valley and these provisions help  you navigate and sustain yourself.  Similarly, you know that you are right where God want’s you to be and that provides peace.

I like to call this God’s bootcamp!  Your time in the valley helps you find your purpose because you learn to rely on God and not on your own abilities.  While your time in the valley isn’t necessarily pleasant, it is critical for your purpose that He has intended you to complete on this earth.

5 Secrets To Owning Your Career (conclusion)

Steps 4 and 5 of “5 Secrets to Owning Your Career actually deals with the essence of your gifts and talents.  It is about defining your “sweet spot” in regards to your passions and talents and determining where you can add the most value in an area of need in the marketplace.  After you have established your namesake URL and hosted on WordPress, you now have to start building pages that can later be used in your product suite.  If all this sounds confusing and you don’t know where to start, here is what I recommend:

  1. Your WordPress Site must function as your career hub.
  2. You need to determine what your passion is and how your tell others about what you are an expert in and start building pages within your wordpress site that might be of value when you figure out exactly what your niche will be.  I have roughly 50 pages of material that I just put on blind pages in the hopes of one day being able to use it.  But it gave me experience posting and creating and navigating through wordpress.  This in itself was a worthwhile experience.
  3. Find someone to hold your hand.  This is very important because there is far too much to learn if you go it completely alone. And, it is manditory that you learn how to this, otherwise you will go broke trying to hire individuals that probably aren’t going to understand what you truly want to do.
  4. Learn what an OVO is.  By this I mean, you have to learn how to collect email addresses and to build your list.  Building your email list by niches is very important.  There are levels of complexities when putting your OVO together, but it is important to think and work towards your OVO everyday.
  5. Finally, you need to build integrated product suites of products that are of interest to your email list.  This could be training, speaking, self help products, or any type of product that your email list or lists wish to purchase.
  6. Use social media to drive potential customers to your OVO and get their email address. This can be done using various software like one shopping cart of infusionsoft.  There are others as well that are worth investigating depending on how much you are willing to spend.
  7. Learn copywriting, video and speaking.  This will allow you to exploit the various platforms that are available to you today and will allow you to create products for yourself.  The name of the game is “Customer Acquisition”.  And when you master that, you can own your career the rest of your life!

5 Secrets to Owing Your Career (part 3)

"Design, Develop and Own You"

The third step in “Owning Your Career” is to Design, Develop and own your platform.   Don’t let someone end your career before you decide it is time.  Here is what every person should do to start this process:

  1. Own your namesake URL.   By that, I mean, you need to go to a hosting company, like godady, and purchase your namesake.  For less than 12 dollars per month, you now have your name reserved and can start to build your online identity.
  2. Put up your own wordpress blog site!  Once you have  purchased your own namesake URL and launch your wordpress site, you are well on your way to building a “digital” identity that no one can take away from you.  That is why I recommend using wordpress and hosting it yourself verses using other blogging platforms that are controlled by others.  You want to “OWN” your own platform.   This platform will serve as your “Hub” for all of your activities.
  3. Learn and do for yourself.  You cannot and should not delegate learning how to build your brand to someone else.  You need to be able to master the technology even if you are not a “technical” person.  I did it and so can you!
  4. Create your embassy plan. Your embassy directs your potential followers to your home base.  Your Social media plan are your embassy’s!  They represent “YOU” out in the market place and send messages out and gather information and direct it back to you.  If you work for a company, you are developing a set of skills that you can send out to your embassy’s. That may be facebook, twitter, linkedin, pinterest or whatever. But these embassy’s reflect and promote your career, your brand, your purpose, your skills, your story!
  5. Consistently build your brand.  So you have your home base, your wordpress namesake URL, you have your embassy plan in place and your now begin to CONSISTENTLY communicate to your market, your followers and your potential clients on your unique product, story, sweet spot, unique voice or whatever you want the world to hear!.  Begin to develop a weekly content plan that you consistently deliver.  This is so critical while you are working and building your email list!  You have to think in terms of building customers that eventually  will be buy from you.  But the secret is Consistently, Consistently, Consistently!   I hope I said that enough, because that is the single greatest downfall by not delivering content consistently. Long term acquisition of customers requires a consist delivery of content to the world through your platforms and embassy’s.
  6. Master the technology.  Every person today has to master the basics.  You have to learn how to publish.  That can mean anything from writing good copy, to learning how to do videos to pod casting.  But the fact is, you don’t have a choice any longer if you want to remain relevant and in front of your customer. If you want to own your career for a lifetime, you need to follow a different plan.  And that requires learning how to publish.
  7. Finally, learn how the value creation process works.  Building a platform for lifelong success is transferable.  You must understand that working for someone else has to benefit you and your career long term.  Every skill that you take away from your workplace is transferable to your brand. So, you have to think in terms of that daily.  Ask yourself: “What am I learning today and what can i incorporate into my story that I can send out to my embassy?”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE THESE POSTS DIRECTLY TO YOUR EMAIL, CLICK (HERE)

5 Secrets to Owning Your Career Explained (part 2)

"Hire an Architect"

We all know how important it is today to owning your career today.  That means that you have to look at your career and your working life differently.  While our parents worked at the same job most of their life, we have to look at multiple jobs, multiple training, and multiple careers.  A series of multiple careers is basically what we have to navigate through.  The other important point to realize is that in our society, we tend not to value people over 50 years old!.  So if you plan to work past 50, you must be thinking about how to build a platform that will endure until you decide its time to quit!  The important thing is that you are in charge of your future.

I was recently talking with a lawyer who works in industry and represents clients, primarily men in their 50’s who have been discharged from their company.  He said, that this age group of men is the number one age group that get terminated and replaced by someone who is younger!   Most men in their 50’s are at their prime and have more to offer, but are more expensive.  So when companies are looking to improve their bottom line, they look to cut this group of wage earners.  Therefore, this concept of owning your career is extremely important to this age group.

The next strategic step in “Owning Your Career” is to Hire an Architect!  In a previous post, we talked about building your platform or foundation, and step number two is to find a mentor, or life coach, or work together with someone who has become an expert in the area that you are passionate about.  Part of owning your career means that you should be working in an area of your passion, your gifts and often times, this requires someone to help you stay on task.  And, with all of the social media and technology, it is critical to understanding how to keep your career going while using these platforms.

It is very important to understand how to harness the power of social media and to build a loyal customer base from social media.  It is equally important to build a platform that no one can take away from you.  It is important to design and build a product line and product suite that no one can take away from you.  It is important to learn the tools necessary to monetize your intellectual property and to be able to market it using blogs, webinars, podcasts, e-books , you tube and all available platforms.

In the next post, we will discuss how to Design, Develop and Own your brand and your products.  This is step number 3 in the five secrets to “Owning Your Career”.

The 5 Secrets to Owning your Career-Explained

"Essentials to do Immediately"

On the previous post, I explained the 5 secrets to owning your career.  Lets take a look deeper so that you can take decisive action TODAY!  The first secret described was to Build Your Foundation!  Here is what I recommend no matter what age you are!

First, have a firm idea of where you are in life.  If you are young, make sure you start to build your foundation properly.  A proper foundation will allow you to launch your brand  and know that no matter what happens, you have it covered.  So, the very first thing is to dust off your Bible.  I know what you are thinking, but I am amazed that most young people don’t understand that the first order of business is to look at the owners manual.  God gave us his design procedures in the Bible. He taught us what to do in every situation that we will encounter in life.  SO, it makes sense to read it through and just check it out!  Use the Bible as the GO TO for every situation. There are more than 3000 promises available for us if we take the time to receive them by faith.

Next, analyze who you “hang” with and determine if this group of friends will help you or inspire you to get to the next level in life!  Your friends you “hang” with are often whom God uses to create Divine Intersections that will either take you forward or create a detour for you.  Either way, you can reach your final destination and purpose, but it may take you much longer than expected.  And remember, we often times chose our betrayer in life. I know I did and Jesus did as well!

Think about every thing in your life not only on what you can “see” in the physical but is happening in the spiritual.  So, instead of thinking about “luck“, replace it with intentional spiritual meanings.  When bad things happen, re-frame them and ask yourself, what is God trying to teach me or show me?  When you begin to see what happens to you in view of God’s perspective, you get excited about living each day regardless of what happens.

Pray that God helps you build this foundation on a rock!  When the storms of life come, and they will for sure, you want to make sure the storm doesn’t take away your house!  You want to make sure you and your brand and your career are still standing!  When you build your career and your personal brand on a rock, no one can take it away from you.

Train, and learn everything you can.  Be a life long learner.  Get that degree or skill and keep going back for more training and education.  This is part of your foundation and your success.  If you can’t afford to do that, learn from free webinars, blogs, libraries, podcasts, and whomever you come into contact with.  Instead of asking a person what they do for a living, ask a person about their perspective and how they became successful and what they recommend!  So many people get impressed with what a person does but the real issue is how they managed it and what you can learn from them.  Go deeper and ask better questions.  The quality of your questions determines the quality of your life.  The intentional and deeper questions result in better answers and better results.

Stop watching trash on the television and the radio!  The way to build a solid foundation is by using quality materials.  What you put into your brain and your eyes and your ears is directly related to your ability to be successful.  I am not a mind expert, but I do know that you have to be very consequential what you put in.  Garbage in equals garbage out.  Watch, read and listen to  media and movies and music that brings you closer to God.  Not the devil!

Enthusiasm and energy for life is contagious!  If you want to build a foundation of peace, energy and success, you have to look for those people and those experiences that saturate your brain in this environment.  I am not talking about just going on expensive pleasure vacations, but simple things.  For example, listen to classical music daily.  Dress up with a suit and tie weekly.  Write at least one handwritten letter weekly to a friend or someone you admire or want to learn from.  Clean your house and clean your closet!  When your place is a mess, it destroys your peace and sends a message to others that you don’t value them.  Polish your shoes daily!  You always feel better when your shoes are polished. Eat better and healthier foods.  Exercise daily by either walking, riding, swimming, jogging, dancing or even running the sweeper, but do something.  Gardening and pulling weeds can even be an outlet for great exercise.  Bending over to pull weeds is therapy for me. I think of every weed that I pull and throw out as something that I am trying to rid myself from.  Attach a bitter or sad experience to that weed and then throw it out.

Reboot yourself weekly.  Whether it is church, visiting family, or whatever, but look for ways to add value to people and learn from everyone.

5 Secrets to Owning Your Career

Here is how to Start Today!

Well, of course, there are more than 5 secrets to “owning your career”, but there are things that everyone must do to get started.  Here are the 5 secrets:

  1. Build Your Foundation–  You have to look at your career and your potential earning in a different manner today.  With pensions, stocks and money difficult to get your hands on today, you have to think about working until you die!  This doesn’t have to sound scary.  The Bible never talks about retiring.  Think about what God wants you to do today that will take you to the end of your days on this earth.  And to make money doing it if you need to.  You must start to think of the foundation that your career is set on.  Is it on sand, or is it on solid rock?  That is the question that you must answer.  Many folks are working and working, not realizing that there is something they could be doing in addition to their current job to take them into a new level of prosperity and significance. The key is to analyze your foundation and have it inspected.
  2. Hire an Architect– If you have ever traveled through an old neighborhood, you often see houses that have had additions put on without proper planning and design. Roof lines and pitch lines don’t match, and attention to architectural details are missing from the original house to the addition.  You need to hire a professional, to help you with a set of blueprints that helps you get the proper result.  Owning your career requires planning and hiring an architect to help you get it right.  This can come in the form of a life coach, personal trainer, or can simply be re investing in yourself on a continual Basis through webinars, podcasts, reading blog posts, or being part of a membership training program.
  3. Design, Develop and Own “You”-It is very important to “own” you!  And you must  learn how to “own” you!  Specifically, I mean owning your career, your brand, your products and your ability to monetize that until you decide to finish! It is imperative to never delegate your ability to live a life that God has destined you to live. I call this living “OnPurpose”. And in today’s technical world, it is easier to design, build and Own your brand and your career, despite the economy and the facts about middle aged men in the marketplace.
  4. Run the race God Intended You to Run– You must redefine success for what it truly is.  The old saying that the man who has the most toys wins is a complete lie.  The man who has the most toys actually dies!  Success is having peace in your heart and the ability to re-frame anything that happens to you.  My friend from university emailed me yesterday about two of our friends dying at 55 and leaving their families.  We all have to ask ourselves: “How do we want to be remembered when we die”.  And then take steps immediately to make sure you are running the race that God has you to run.
  5. Add Value daily– The older I get, the more I embrace the concept of adding value to people’s lives.  With so much happening in our world, negative politics, international trouble, and difficult people, the ability to add value will always give you the ability to own your career and to monetize your content.  We need to all help people find Strength, Solace and Motivation.  We need to encourage difficult family members to make peace not war. We need to role model what that means daily to our children.  We need to understand and deliver value to everyone.  And with technology today, that has made things much easier.

You Have A Built In Success System

Attitude is where all change and all success begins!  And the good news is that YOU can choose the attitude that you want to have that will ultimately lead to the desired life you want to live.  So why then are so many people struggling with their life, their jobs?  It seems like few people have found what they are truly passionate about and most people are struggling with finding their purpose in life.

Your attitude decides “who” and “what” you are, and whether you respond to events under control or out of control.  Your attitude is controlled by your thoughts at the conscious level.  Your subconscious must always respond to what the conscious mind feeds it.  The subconscious mind cannot reject an idea. It must do what the conscious mind tells it to do. Therefore, always guard your conscious thoughts as they make up your belief system.  And it is your belief system that plays a vital role in your success.

So your success system is key to your destination in life.  Your success system is key to your purpose in life.  When your beliefs about the world you see are in line with God’s design for you, you reach your final destination with a sense of fulfillment and purpose.

People have a habit of taking their assets for granted and focusing only on their limitations and faults.  In this way they are giving more power to what they believe they cannot do rather than to what they can do.  Such behavior is inherently defeatist.  It holds you back, eliminates any initiative, and essentially cripples any prospect for success.
